Something Extra

Little something extra today... working through some designs for a "Royal Guard".

Basically the garb is supposed to look like high-tech flashy looking armour that rebel soldiers looted from a more advanced enemy. And then proceeded to cover with rags, feathers, shards of metal and other decorations to distinguish themselves.

Stranded

Today's image follows two of my characters Orwell and Cesil, They have become split up from the rest of their crew and stranded in desert wastes. No mans land.

Cesil's primary battery is about to give out, and with no source of power her mechanized limbs are useless. However Orwell can easily carry her the rest of the way, his species are strong, but due to centuries dwelling beneath underground, they have an extremely harmful reaction to direct sunlight on the skin/eyes, he is safe when totally covered in thick clothing, but eventually the suns rays and the heat will still begin to affect his composure.

It begins!

Hey guys! Ok so I've been slowly developing my own "world" of sorts in my personal art for a while now (Actually i have a few on the go, but this one in particular), a lot of my original characters seen on my Deviant Art page all dwell within it. Its a constantly changing and evolving beast, But I really hope to start really pushing some ideas forward over the summer, figuring out what is working and what isnt, and really beginning to flesh it all out in a more coherent and grounded way!

So starting now im gonna try to upload at least one piece of work everyday. (Usually focused around this world, but not always, I will take the occasional break and upload something else.)

These uploads will vary from small simple sketches of objects, or characters, to full colour work that I spend more time on. Some times with text or story to go along with it, sometimes not. It all depends how much time i have and what i feel like doing at the time.

Ok So here is todays image, a bustling alley, where people are shoveling all sorts of wares, from mechanical limbs/upgrades, to exotic birds!

Short story

this is a little short story i created, a series of 8 text-less images, based on the intro sequence of the story "Midair" by Frank Conroy.

Tales of the Unexpected

Some work from one of my current projects, imagery based on some stories from Roal Dahl's "Tales of the Unexpected". Going for abit of mysterious Noir-esque feel.

Invisible Cities

Here are a few pieces of work i did last year, based on Italo Calvino's "Invisible Cities" documenting various cities, visited by the famous Italian explorer Marco Polo.
